Red Hot Heavyweight Roman Greenberg is fast becoming the Becks of the Boxing World and is set for his first World Title fight early this year.

At the age of 22, the former world junior has what it takes to be the next big thing in heavyweight boxing. Victorious in 17 of 17 professional fights Roman is heralded as the best heavyweight to hit Britain since Lennox Lewis.

Experts around the globe including sports media, trainers, managers and promoters have eagerly watched Romans career proclaiming him the fastest heavyweight since Ali. Even Ali's trainer Angelo Dundee predicted Greenberg as a world champion. The IBO named him 'Prospect of the Year for 2005' and his promoter reckons Roman to be the first billion dollar boxer.

With an easy win over Julius Francis, placing him 6th in UK Rankings, and a title match lined up in Vegas this spring, it's time for the world to wake up to Roman as he enters big time boxing.

Blessed with un-natural speed and grace in the ring, Roman is far removed from the usual robotic heavyweight style, taking on his opponents with smooth skills, fast moves and knockout power.

And his talents don't end in the ring, he's multi lingual, fluent in Russian, German, English and Hebrew. His wit is just as quick as his punch, making him a favourite with all he meets.

Greenberg's had his fair share of life's challenging punches though. Born a Jew in Russia, his family had to flee to Israel following anti-Semitic violence. The family expected better in Israel but plans were scuppered and they ended up on the streets, which Roman strongly believes toughened him up. Three years ago, Roman narrowly escaped a bomb in a Tel Aviv nightclub. "When I think of that, the dangers of boxing seem relatively unimportant' says Roman.

Top British Promoter and Romans manager Robert Waterman spotted Roman in a gym, brought him to the UK and put him under the coaching of legendary trainer Jim Evans. Roman has now made the UK his home and tells you with the same conviction he punches his opponents with... "I will be World Champion. Watch me."
